As of 28th February, the Solo Scheme is being decommissioned permanently. As a result, starting 21st February, Solo cards will no longer be accepted as a payment method by Google Checkout.
Since this change will affect transactions on your account involving a Solo card, we would like to bring your attention to some key dates. Please note that these changes will not require you to take any action on your account and we’re making you aware in case buyers contact you with questions about Solo.
– Starting 21st February, authorisations for Solo cards will no longer be processed by Google Checkout.
Buyers will no longer be able to register Solo cards in their Google Checkout account or make purchases with Solo cards already registered in their account. Solo cards already registered will be marked as invalid.
– Starting 24th February, charges to Solo cards will no longer be processed by Google Checkout.
Sellers will no longer be able to charge Solo cards. Any pending orders with a Solo card must be charged by 23rd February. Google will not guarantee funds for pending Solo card orders not charged by this date.
– Starting 31st March, refunds and chargebacks for Solo cards will no longer be processed by Google Checkout.
Sellers will be able to process refunds to buyers with Solo cards until 30th March. After that date, sellers will no longer be able to issue refunds for orders placed with a Solo card. Also, chargebacks for purchases with a Solo card will no longer be processed after 31st March.
