Sydney gets Amazon Web Services

At long last Amazon have expanded their infrastructure to the Asia Pacific region with a new data centre in Sydney Australia.

The closest we have been able to use thus far is Singapore.

Now with a new Sydney data centre, Amazon Web Services latency will be reduced for Australian and New Zealand customers.

According to the official post

The new Sydney Region is currently available for multiple services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS).

Happy happy. Joy joy.
