Do Google Reviews Matter?

Of course!  The vast majority of people will choose a higher rated company to do business with.  Retailers on eBay live or die by +ve or -ve ratings.

Your Google ratings appear in search results related to your business so they are on view all the time.

How to Get Google Reviews into WordPress

So, how do you get those Google Reviews into your website to display to your customers and build trust and repuation.

There are several ways to get Google reviews into your WordPress website.

The data is available through Google API’s but not everyone is a developer so let’s have a look at some plugin options.

Google Review Slider

A free plugin with a premium paid upgrade option.

As the name suggests it adds a slider of Google reviews onto your site.  The slider is full responsive working well on mobile devices.

Choice to display only high rated reviews as well as templating and sorting options.

The free version has a limited number of styles.

The paid version at around $99 USD lifetime updates for one site lifts the restrictions and comes with more styles, multiple GMB locations, graphs, charts, CSV download and a whole heap of other features that you may or may not find useful.

WooCommerce Google Customer Reviews

This is a paid plugin at an affordable $50 USD.

A slightly different twist with this plugin integrating your Google review rating on any or all WooCommerce pages in your shop, boosting conversions.

It also sends an email to customers who bought something with an opt-in survey prompting them to write and leave a Google review.

Everest Google Places Reviews

This is a paid plugin but it’s only $17 USD so it won’t break the bank.

I really like this plugin as it seems to do everything.

Unlimited Google places so you can bring in multiple businesses and locations.

Lots of different built-in styles: badges, list and slider

Ability to show only 5 star reviews (leave out those negative ones)

All available as shortcodes so you can place the content anywhere on your site.

The plugin has been really well thought out and would be my #1 Google reviews plugin choice
