More changes to the way our search results are displayed are on the cards as Google announces the global roll out of Social Search.
What is Social Search?
Google introduced Social Search as an experiment in 2009 and so far it has only been available to US users of google.com.
From the blog post, Google summarises what Social Search is all about:
Social Search can help you find pages your friends have created, and it can also help you find links your contacts have shared on Twitter and other sites. If someone you’re connected to has publicly shared a link, we may show that link in your results with a clear annotation.

When will it be available?
The new feature is being rolled out in 19 languages in “the coming week”, hopefully along with the Google +1 Button, also mentioned in the blog post.
